Short description
My Name is Kim Hülscher and The Mystery of Darkness is my fashion brand. After handmade uniques and customizations in the last years it's now time for the next big step: in my workshop in Hanover-Linden (Germany) I have developed a concept, design and pattern for the first line! In small numbers this everyday Gothic fashion will be produced.
What's this project about?
This project is about the first manufactured line and the growth of my brand, because before I made everything alone by hand in my workshop. But to serve a certain product range the fabrication needs to be outsourced. This makes it possible for me to concentrate my work on the design and development of this and all future lines.
What's the goal and the target group?
The goal is to get my everyday Gothic line produced in Europe, to offer another fresh alternative to the well-established standard Gothic lines and thereby to contribute my part of diversity to the Gothic scene. Because the target group are you, all who like Gothic, Kinky and/or just alternative fancy fashion in a happy black color.

Beside a small selected number of other brands with I offer with The Mystery of Darkness a fresh individual alternative to the well-established standard Gothic lines. Only with this support the line comes to realization, so help to make it become reality.
What happens with the money?
The startlevel, which will be collected with your help, is supposed to fund the production of the line and enable the start of becoming a bigger business. The Production includes a few preperations. After the patterns are made they have to be converted into the different sizes. Sourcing of materials is another important part. That includes more than the materials for the manufacturing of the clothes, it also involves the sourcing of others things like hangers, hanging rails etc. Last but not least the funding of the manufacturing of the clothes is a very big point on the list. That includes, beside the work of cutting the fabric and sewing the clothes, also some preperations they need to do for the fabrication of the whole line as well as packaging and transport. If the pre-orders will be more than expected the production volume will be extended.
Who is behind this project?
Backing this project is me, Kim Hülscher, with my brand The Mystery of Darkness. I'm 29 years old, living and working in Hanover (Germany). Already at the age of 14 I gained interest in alternative music, fashion and everything around the scene. At the university of applied sciences and art in Hanover I studied fashion design and already during my studies I crafted handmade jewelry. After graduation in my fashion design studies in 2019 I became self-employed with The Mystery of Darkness and started to make handmade fashion and accessoires for the Gothic and Tribal Fusion Bellydance scene in small numbers. Furthermore I designed and sewed uniques made to measure. Because I dedicated my final work of studying to the kinky scene I also got some custom orders from there including Latex, among other things. Now I want to make my wish, to get my first line produced, come true.
High-cut croptop which is closed on the back by elastic ribbons. The v-shaped seam brings shape for the breast.

Transparent, floor-long coat with trumpet sleeves. With a cord string in the waistline, that can be tied into a ribbon for closing the coat. The skirt part to the hem is flared wide.

A-lined midi skirt with wide transperent inserts that form an up pointing spire. Both sides, front and back, are equally designed.

Short dress with a transparent, triangular décolleté section. An around this section fixed valance shapes a kind of short sleeve. In the middle at the far end of the transparent section is a slash, which is to be closed by hook and loop.

Leggings with transparent inserts at the level of the upper legs. The inserts run slanted to the middle and end about at the height of the knees.

Bodyshaped T-Shirt with a cutout in the décolleté. The upper part and sleeves are transparent. On the back is a short slant up to the collar, which is to be closed by hook and loop.

Two-part maxi skirt with pointy hem. The short underskirt is opaque and cut bodyshaped. The overskirt is transparent and wide cut. The cuff of the overskirt is made from a velvet elastic band and closes with a hook in the middle back, in which there is a short slant. The hem running pointy to the front and back middle has a broad edge made from velvet.

Sleeveless shirt with hooded scarf-collar. In the front and back parts is a transparent, to the middle running yoke. There's also a transparent stripe inserted in the sides.
